Mitchell Marcelonis, a current senior at Worcester Technical High School, and Auto Tech student, is a wonderful role model for incoming Freshmen exploring the shop and helps everyone when they need it. His passion for cars, especially classics, and his older brother are the reasons why he has such a drive to become a mechanic. Mr. Tripp, his shop teacher, stated that “Mitchell has proven to be instrumental to the ongoing success of the program.”

Mitchell looks up to his father, Eddie Marcelonis, a landscaper for Landscaping Solutions in Worcester.  He admires his father because he’s always giving him good advice about becoming a mechanic. His father is constantly there when Mitch needs someone to talk to, supporting him with whatever goals he wants to achieve.

Mitchell also finds a role model in his older brother, Connor Marcelonis, who is a current mechanic at HARR Toyota. Mitch and his brother work together on cars and learn from their experiences whenever they work together.

Mitch’s strengths are being able to accomplish anything as long as he is physically and mentally focused on that specific job.  Students look up to Mitchell because he “is an outgoing and helpful young professional,” according to his shop teacher Mr. Yourga.

Mitchell said,  “My experience in shop is pretty good because I have learned a lot about the life of a mechanic over my four years of highschool and I feel like I belong here.”

In five years, Mitchell sees himself as a successful auto mechanic, hopefully working for HARR Toyota with his brother,  because that is what he loves to do.
